NATIONAL DEBATE SERIES

Beginning with a passionate CONTEST OF IDEAS on the issue of Subsidies using a COURTROOM FORMAT on the Motion:

“SUBSIDIES ARE REQUIRED NOW FOR GHANA’S DEVELOPMENT”

Come and witness two of Ghana’s most renowned international lawyers take sides on this critical issue in what promises to be an INTELLECTUAL CLASH OF THE TITANS!

AGAINST THE MOTION

Ernest Abotsi – Harvard trained Expert on International Development Law. Internationally recognized instructor in the fine points of jurisprudence, torts, and the law of the environment. Guest Lecturer at prestigious legal training institutions in the United States.

FOR THE MOTION

Nana Asante Bediatuo – former Wall Street legal luminary, and Advisor to international banks and multinational conglomerates. An Advocate for international clients at the International Court of Justice in the Hague, and a regular Consultant to nation-states pressing their claims in Geneva.

MODERATOR

Papa Kow Acquaye – Barrister of the Supreme Court of Ghana, and Head of Research at the influential Joy FM radio station. Former Coordinator of Policy Analysis at Ghana’s very first policy think tank, the Institute of Economic Affairs.
